Meditation: going down the rabbit hole.

We might start meditation to reduce our anxiety, or because we heard that it can get us hyperfocused and more productive. We might start it because we are in the middle of utter chaos in our lives and we need something and we don’t know what else to do.

It’s okay to go there for those reasons, but then consider letting them go and see where the practice takes you. Let it take you down the rabbit hole. You might find something greater than you imagined. Then again, go down it without expectations of finding something greater than you imagined.
